I spent last night and

I spent last night and this morning entering the expensive and complicated world of Dolby Digital Surround. I now have a Big Ass Amp, and about 700 speakers dotted around the room. So far the biggest difference was adding the Centre, and Front speakers (i.e. basically decent stereo), before I got as far as 5.1 surround. I will have a fiddle with the Rear ones later (you can tweak the relative levels, and delays between front and back). The Sub is noticable but not amazingly so. I’ll feed it Bad Boys tonight and see what comes out.

In other news, the caffeine thing is still working out. It’s a long weekend so I’m planning on getting charged up on sleep, to be full of Vim (or Jif or Chlorox) for work on tuesday.
