My new huge-ass hard disk

My new huge-ass hard disk turned up today for MP3 jukebox duty - 60Gb (well, 55 or so, once you redefine 1Gb to be 1,000,000,000 bytes). Only thing so far is that is seems really slow running over Samba from Win2k to FreeBSD. Need to figure out a decent way to get a buffered lump of data from the disk for multiple (two) readers. That and some nice full-screen software to run on the TV. Got my mad DirectX skillz out over the weekend, so I’ve got a thing of two scrolling images now. Ph33r me!
